MORE FIGHTERS...MORE FIGHTING STYLES...MORE MAYHEM...Now, two of the world's fighting giants battle on the Nintendo GameCube system! Capcom vs. SNK 2 E.O. unleashes lightning fast animation and classic arcade fighting action in a colossal slug-fest. Choose from over 44 characters from the Capcom and SNK fighting universes, then customize your character's fighting style with your own favorite "Groove." The all new E.O. mode adds attacks at the touch of a button to deliver devastating combos!- More characters than ever - and up to 6 modes of play- Even more "Grooves" to choose from - 6 in all- Now determine the level of your fighter's strength with the new "Free Ratio System"- New Nintendo GameCube system original features - strength and angle used on controls affect character's attack power and jump height! A beat'em'up with characters taken from many Capcom and SNK games. The game system is centered around "grooves" which are selected before any battle. These different grooves alter the character's abilities to resemble different Capcom or SNK games. There are three grooves dedicated to each company, and even the option to define a custom groove. Capcom vs. SNK 2 makes its GameCube debut with an alternate control scheme designed to simplify some of the more complicated moves associated with the PlayStation 2 original. The "EO" in the title stands for Extreme Offense, which results in automatic blocking as well as a character's special and super moves being mapped to the yellow C Stick. Instead of tapping multiple buttons while manipulating the Control Pad in various positions, players simply flick the analog stick in a single motion to perform the most powerful attacks in the game.Veteran users can opt for a traditional control method in the six modes of play: Arcade, Versus, Survival, Training, and Color Edit. Players can further customize the fighting by choosing one of six grooves, which enable such actions as performing unlimited super combos when a character's vitality is near zero. Over 40 fighters from both Capcom and SNK's previous fighting games are available to play as or against, with selections from such noted franchises as Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Samurai Shodown, and Fatal Fury. The "EO" of the GameCube and Xbox titles refer to a new groove: Easy Operation. Instead of the normal inputs needed to do special and super moves, these moves are instead done automatically by tapping the right thumb-stick in specific directions. Only a small part of each character's move set can be accessed this way, however, and if the player does not select EO then the game will play the same as the arcade and previous releases.Playable characters come from the following games:Street Fighter (Ryu, Ken, Eagle, Sagat)Final Fight (Rolento)Street Fighter II (Guile, Chun-Li, Blanka, Dhalsim, E. Honda, Zangeif, M. Bison, Balrog, Vega)Final Fight 2 (Maki)Super Street Fighter II (Cammy)Super Street Fighter II Turbo (Akuma/Gouki)Street Fighter Alpha (Dan)Street Fighter Alpha 2 (Sakura, Shin Akuma/Gouki, Evil Ryu)Darkstalkers (Morrigan)Street Fighter III (Yun)Rival Schools (Kyosuke)Psycho Soldier (Athena)Fatal Fury (Terry, Joe, Raiden, Geese)Art of Fighting (Ryo, Yuri, King, Todoh)Fatal Fury 2 (Kim, Mai)Samurai Shodown (Haohmaru, Nakoruru)The King of Fighters '94 (Kyo, Benimaru, Chang&Choi, Rugal)The King of Fighters '95 (Iori)Fatal Fury 3 (Yamazaki)The King of Fighters '96 (Vice)The King of Fighters '97 (Orochi Iori)The Last Blade 2(Hibiki)Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves (Rock) he subtitle "EO" is unique to the Gamecube version of this game and stands for "Easy Operation." Due to the Gamecube controller's somewhat unorthodox design, a special control option was added to this version of the game called "GC-ism," which allows players to execute special and super moves instantly by just tilting the C-stick. Players who want a more traditional control scheme can instead select "AC-ism" (or Arcade-ism) before the start of a match. Capcom vs. SNK 2 is a 2D fighting game that pits characters from two rival fighting game franchises against each other. Players can create teams of up to three fighters and compete head-to-head or go solo to tackle Arcade and Survival Mode. The game features characters from various fighting game franchises, including Street Fighter (Capcom), Darkstalkers (Capcom), King of Fighters (SNK), Samurai Showdown (SNK), and others. Capcom vs. SNK 2 also features an expanded version of the "Groove" system seen in the previous game that changes how your characters play. Where in the previous game there were only two grooves, now there are six--each one based on a fighting system from a Capcom or SNK fighting game. With all of that included, it's no wonder the announcer of the game says: "This is the first dream event of the 21st Century
